Rippy

 Evangelist Rhonda Rippy is a native of Shelbyville, TN and now resides in Murfreesboro, TN. She is the youngest of four children, born to Pastor Willie & First Lady Ella Rippy, raised in a home with God fearing parents and taught to love God and to serve faithfully in the ministry.

 

Evangelist Rhonda Rippy grew up in the church but didn’t’ discover the importance of a relationship with God until the age of 15. She gave her life to the Lord at a Tennessee 2nd Jurisdiction Youth Congress which would change her life forever. She is, since childhood, a member of King Chapel Church at Union Ridge- Church of God in Christ where she has served under the pastoral leadership of the late Bishop Audley King and now under her father, Pastor Willie L. Rippy.

 

Teacher, mentor, encourager and motivator are some terms that describe Evangelist Rippy. As a child, God began shaping her to serve, and she accepted the call to ministry and in March 2004 was licensed as an evangelist missionary in the Church of God in Christ.

 

Evangelist Rhonda Rippy has served in numerous capacities at her local church. She has a heart that goes out to young people and teaching style that is exhibited as a Kindergarten Sunday School teacher and YPWW teacher. She serves as the Audley King District AIM Chairperson under Superintendent Willie L. Bonner, Jr. Evangelist Rippy also serves as the Tennessee Eastern 2nd Jurisdiction Greeter Ministry President, James M. Scott Sr Scholarship Committee and as the Jurisdiction Youth Department Chairlady under the leadership of Bishop James M. Scott, Sr. and Supervisor Verna Bonner.

 

On a national level, Evangelist Rippy served on the COGIC International AIM College Fair team and as the first co-director of the International Youth Department Young Adult Ministry. She has taught several workshops during the International AIM Convention and Regional Rallies for Singles, Young Adults, and Youth Leaders. In 2009, Evangelist Rippy was appointed to serve the youth of the Church of God in Christ International Youth Dept. as the Southern Region Chairlady for AL, AK, LA, MS and TN.

 

Evangelist Rhonda Rippy is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree. In 2007, she graduated from University of Phoenix with a Master’s of Organizational Management. She is employed with Philips Healthcare.

 

Evangelist Rhonda Rippy has a passion for encouraging, motivating and equipping others for Kingdom Building. Her favorite scripture “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13 has inspired her daily to encourage others and to personally pursue greater in God.
